Advising international organizations and NGOs
We are an international law boutique. Our practice is focused on international legal disputes, arbitration and policy development. We also act as independent arbitrators.
We offer legal expertise and availability to clients on an on-demand basis. Whether you need us to answer a quick query, to represent your organization in litigation or to work with you on a longer-term policy project, we are there to support you. Our goal is to foster long-term client relationships through this model, which in turns requires us to provide tailored and high-quality deliverables on a timely basis, whenever needed.
Our team has represented and advised various international organizations on a broad range of legal issues, including host country relations, privileges and immunities, grant agreements, financing, governance, negotiations involving public and private donors, employment conditions and relations, ethics and investigations. We act as counsel for international organizations in international administrative disputes as well as arbitrations.
Legal and policy advice to international organizations. Our partners have more than twenty years of experience providing day-to-day advice to decision-makers in international organizations and INGOs. We have acted as trusted advisors on numerous policy development projects.
International administrative disputes. Our team has acted for international organizations in more than 100 cases before international administrative tribunals and appellate bodies. Our long experience as litigators in this field allows us to navigate procedural complexity, provide proactive strategic advice, mitigate legal risks and do what is needed to achieve optimal litigation outcomes for clients.
International arbitration. Our firm has acted as counsel in several high-profile international arbitrations over the years. As illustrations of our experience, our team has recently acted for the claimants in an ICSID arbitration against the Kingdom of Norway relating to snow crab fishing rights in the Barents Sea. It has also defended the Romanian government against an UNCITRAL claim concerning the alleged expropriation of film production studios, among other assignments.
