Cesar is an Associate at Agora, where he supports the firm’s lawyers in cross-border disputes, commercial proceedings, and advisory work for international organizations. His practice includes providing legal and policy guidance to these organizations, with a particular focus on structural evolution and governance frameworks.
Cesar is a lawyer licensed to practice in Colombia and a paralegal licensed to provide legal services in Ontario, Canada. He has over 15 years of legal experience. Before moving to Canada in 2022, he spent more than a decade as in-house counsel for multinational corporations in the mining, transportation, and energy sectors. In these roles, he advised on complex commercial, administrative, and employment matters and provided strategic support in ICC and ICSID arbitrations. He is highly skilled in high-stakes contract negotiations, corporate governance, and the implementation of compliance policies to mitigate legal risks.
Additionally, Cesar qualified his Colombian law degree in Mexico, where he obtained a certification in international corporate compliance, further strengthening his expertise in cross-border legal frameworks and regulatory compliance.
