Cesar Persand
Cesar is an Associate at Agora. He supports the firm’s lawyers across various aspects of their practice, which includes representing clients in cross-border disputes and advising international organizations on diverse legal and policy issues. He is a lawyer licensed to practice in Colombia and a paralegal licensed to provide legal services in Ontario, Canada.
Before moving to Canada in 2022, he spent over a decade as an in-house counsel for mining, transportation, and energy corporations. In these roles, he advised on commercial and administrative proceedings and provided strategic support in ICC and ICSID arbitrations. His strengths include managing high-stakes contract negotiations and implementing corporate compliance policies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
Cesar also qualified his Colombian law degree in Mexico, where he obtained a certification in international corporate compliance. This additional qualification has further enhanced his expertise in cross-border legal practices and compliance frameworks.
